The settings menu is located in "Help" -> "Retro Diffusion Settings."
These "Performance Settings" (above) are required for specific hardware conditions, so be sure to use the system information discussed in the System Compatibility section to check the appropriate boxes. These are identical to the settings in the installation menu.
The "Snap step" value is what interval the generation size will snap to. By default, the lowest value (8) allows you to select any pixel size value.
The "Minimum" and "maximum" size sliders are 8 times larger than the available pixel art generation size (the minimum generation size of 512 would be equal to a pixel art size of 64).
This checkbox can be disabled to hide the size preset buttons.
This slider changes how many modifiers you can apply in the generation menu.
This is different from the "LLM Prompt Enhancement" option available in the generation menu. Unlike the LLM, this setting uses fixed modifications to prompts, such as adding "pixel art" to the positive and some common words to the negative.
It is strongly advised to leave this enabled. The only reason to disable it is to experiment with the models directly without any unknown variables.
The "Use last seed automatically" checkbox will always use the same seed as the last generation unless otherwise specified.
This is helpful for making variations of the same generation using different settings or weights.
The "Batch generation size" changes how many images the program will attempt to generate at once. By default, it is set to 64. This is to comply with 4GB gpus. If you, however, have more VRAM, you can set this higher and it will slightly increase generation speed for multiple images at once. This size relates to the largest image your hardware can generate.
To calculate the ideal value, you can either use the benchmark tool in "Help" -> "Retro Diffusion Tools" -> "Run Benchmark," or you can try generations of various sizes manually.
To test manually, just make images with width and height set to the batch size. The largest image you can generate will be the batch size you want to use.
This menu is used to change or set the locations of Retro Diffusion's various file paths.
If you need to re-locate files, move them in your file-explorer, then go to this menu and set the folders to the new paths.
The "reset settings" button will return the settings to default values.
These are the minimum and maximum values for the modifier/lora strengths. Some external loras may require strengths outside of the default range (-50 to 100). See the following for more information on LoRAs
