This menu is used to change the lighting, color properties, and other features of the generated images.
These are not post-processing effects! They are applied in-generation, meaning that the settings will directly modify the image to better "fit" the provided colors and features.
The lighting gimbal is controlled with the mouse to adjust an image's lighting. By default, it is positioned at the same spot as the 'camera' (light projects directly to the center of the image).
The light-source orbits around the mock-canvas to cast light onto the test image. The below image demonstrates how changes in rotation of light effect changes in the image:
The menu also has various sliders that allow you to change the image's composition. These sliders are: Hue, Tint, Saturation, Brightness, Contrast, and Outline.
As adjusted, each slider will apply representative visual effects to the preview image.
The hue slider changes the hue of the generated image. By itself this does nothing, so it must be combined with the tint slider for any effect.
The tint slider adjusts the intensity of the selected hue. This 'steers' the image toward these colors, but the generation's original colors are still respected.
The saturation slider changes the saturation of the generated image (the higher the saturation, the more vivid and colorful the image).
The brightness slider adjusts how light or dark the image is. This slider is one of the most important because generated images typically avoid darker colors. It is also highly influenced by the inputted text prompt (night time, dark, sunlight, etc).
The contrast slider adjusts the intensity of the darkest and brightest parts of the image. Low contrast makes everything in the image close to the same brightness, whereas high contrast makes the image have very dark and very light parts.
The outline slider changes the weight and prominence of outlines in the generated image.
The "Reset" button sets all values to default.
The "Edit lighting" checkbox enables or disables the lighting control gimbal.
The "Show markers" checkbox enables or disables vertical bars to help you set precise slider values.
