Remove Background

"Remove background" has several input settings, but requires at least one layer and frame for each image. It is found in "Help" -> "Retro Diffusion Scripts" -> "Remove background," or in "Sprite" -> "Remove background."

"Remove background" requires an active sprite canvas and the RGB color mode.

This tool automatically attempts to identify and remove the background from images. It is designed primarily to work with pixel art, but it also works for other kinds of images.

Clean Image

The "Remove transparent pixels" checkbox forces pixels to be either fully transparent or fully opaque.

Alpha Threshold

"Alpha threshold" determines the point where transparent pixels are removed. Pixels with transparency values below the threshold are erased.

Processing Cels

This applies "Remove background" to multiple images. If both options are checked, all images in the sprite are processed.

All layers

The "All layers" checkbox applies "Remove background" to all layers in the selected frame.

All frames

The 'All frames" checkbox applies "Remove background" to all frames on the selected layer.

Process in Background

"Process in background" keeps the command line interface minimized.
